Happy Birthday!
I won’ t post any MBs this time - a fintail kind of bridges the gap between the 50s and 60s, as production started in 59 and lasted for most of the decade.
We’ll go a little offbeat instead.
How about a 54 Mercury Monterey Sun Valley, with the plexiglass roof. I’ve always liked these:
I have a thing for 60 Fords (probably because my dad had a wagon as a hobby car when I was a teen in the 90)
, especially wagons and the “Town Victoria” 4 door hardtop:

A guy at work had a 60 Ford like that in brown and tan. Haven’t seen it in 5 or 10 years he must have moved on. It wasn’t show quality but he dailie d it

My dad drove his wagon a bit, too. I remember doing some of my driver training in it, he figured if I could park that thing, anything else would be easy. It actually drove pretty well for something of its enormous size.

Happy birthday!
Well, you took the 57
Nomad, which is what i would have taken, and a 1960 El Camino, which is based on the 1960
Bel Air I would have chosen, so have a 1951 Mercury and 1969 Oldsmobile

Not only are those excellent choices but the photographer(s) nailed it on the angle and the height. Two great icons from the best perspective .

Thanks. Both of those were a bit ahead if their time, weren’t they.

Wow. Two cars that were few in number but great in influence. Thanks.

Clearly there was a time where car designers thought the were designing space ships.

Thanks. Two great examples. I’m not big on most Ford’s but I’d love a 68 Cougar. I see the 300 c and I just think Bond Villan. Maybe it was goldfinger.

Happy birthday!
For the 50s, I am less knowledgeable but I sure do like me a Stude. This one has a perfect patina.
And the 60s, if I don’t get too obscure, I’ll take a Corvair of any type but I especially like the pickups and the wagons.

Those are awesome. I don’t know a firebird I from a III. So I looked them up and learned those are none of them. Comparing them now these two are much better than any of the firebird concepts. I was surprised to learn that even plymouth was in the automotive rocketship game.
I think I need one.
